Free Supplier Invoice Discrepancy Calculator for Shopify Retailers
Enter one purchase-order line, the optional received quantity, and the supplier-invoice values. The calculator separates quantity, unit-price, tax, missing-evidence, and uncertain-match questions so a person can decide what to investigate.
Check one invoice line before payment
Use the invented values already loaded, or replace them with a line from your own records. A receiving quantity is optional; when it is missing, the result stays provisional rather than treating “not provided” as zero.
Enter one invoice line
Entered values stay in this browser session and are not sent or stored. Anonymous first-party page and CTA events may still be counted.
1 item to inspect
- Unit price differs by $4.00 ($22.00 invoiced vs. $18.00 on the PO).
How the comparison works
- The quantity check compares the invoice with received quantity when provided; otherwise it uses ordered quantity and marks the missing evidence.
- The unit-price check compares the invoice price with the PO price.
- The tax check calculates tax using the entered rates and each side’s line total.
- The total difference includes the entered quantity, price, and tax values.
- An uncertain match remains a separate human-review item even when the arithmetic agrees.
Shipping, fees, credits, discounts, currency conversion, and rounding are outside this one-line calculator. Use the full reconciliation worksheet to retain a broader review trail.

Frequently asked questions
What does the invoice discrepancy calculator check?+
It compares one invoice line with the entered PO and optional receiving values. It highlights quantity, unit-price, calculated tax, missing receiving evidence, and uncertain line matches.
Are the numbers I enter stored?+
No. The entered values remain in the browser session and are not sent to LineQuery. The site may count anonymous first-party page visits and named CTA clicks, but calculator values are not included.
Does a zero difference mean the invoice is approved?+
No. It only means the entered arithmetic agrees. A reviewer should still confirm document identity, duplicates, fees, credits, rounding, and source evidence.
Does the calculator connect to Shopify or change inventory?+
No. It is a browser-only review aid. It does not connect to Shopify, approve or pay invoices, contact suppliers, or change purchase orders, receipts, or inventory.
